We do not call them memory verses and try to make it more like a game. For this one, I say the first part and then they say the second part (then we switch).
“If you are cheerful you feel good; if you are sad you hurt all over.” Proverbs 17:22 Contemporary English Version
Remember, we learned a different translation, “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a downcast spirit drys up the bones.” I didn’t want to explain what “drys up the bones” means to curious Preston. 🙂
We also have the CD’s “Seeds of Courage” and “Seeds of Faith”.
This has been the easiest way for them to learn verses.
I think AA is looking more like her Momma. And look at the curls on the boys, too. Maia is precious too. They are growing so fast. I miss all of the Smiths.
BTW, where did you get the CDs? I’d love to share them with my friends’ children.
i love this! will show maia and peter when they get back from the farm. maia resists learning memory verses so far. want to know your strategy . . .

I am happy that you children are writing God’s words on your hearts.
Much love, Nona
I love these pictures. I love you, too.
